Luis Hoyos is an architect, and professor at the Department of Architecture in the College of Environmental Design at Cal Poly Pomona. He is a former and current Commissioner on the State Historic Resources Commission, where he served as Chair for two years. His designs for adapted historic structures such as the Point Fermin Lighthouse, the Cabrillo Beach Bathhouse and El Pueblo de Los Angeles Buildings and Plaza have won professional recognition.
