Janet Watt

Janet Watt graduated with a BA in Interior Design from CSULB and a Master of Architecture from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Janet and her husband, Laurence, founded, designed, and constructed Little Owl School – its campus features green roofs, living walls, vegetable gardens, fruit trees, animals, and a backyard forest setting for children within an urban setting. They also established, Renew Landscape Management, a progressive landscape firm focusing on water retention, environmentally appropriate landscaping, and biodiversity. They are restoring Case Study architect Edward Killingsworth’s 1960’s home in Long Beach. Janet serves on the St. Barnabas Facilities Board, National Parks Foundation Council, and the board of directors for Southern California Public Radio, Long Beach Mayor’s Fund for Education, and the Don Knabe Safe Surrender Scholarship board.
