L.A.'s New Adaptive Reuse Ordinance to Address Housing Needs

Good news! Last week, the Los Angeles City Council adopted a revised L.A. Adaptive Reuse Ordinance (ARO) 2.0 to further incentivize the conversion of existing buildings to housing and streamline planning approvals.

B'nai B'rith Lodge Demolished

B’nai B’rith Lodge was sadly demolished and the fight for accountability lost. On December 10, the Central Los Angeles Area Planning Commission deliberated on the Conservancy's fifth appeal. They expressed sympathy for the Conservancy's appeal points and calls from the public, but ultimately rejected the appeal.

Clinton Manor Courtyard Apartments is One Step Closer to Designation

On December 5, the Los Angeles Cultural Heritage Commission voted to support this tenant-led nomination and will move on to consideration at PLUM.
